The Freedom Cross

As I sat and watched Fox News, yes, I said Fox News. They were speaking of Tea Parties. They were saying how we were imaginary, very small group, insignificant and right wing nut cases...Well, I thought,,We the People are standing up for this country and our Constitution and this is what they think..HMMMM..Then came on News that a cross in the Mojave Desert placed there in 1934 honoring the VFW Vets and all others that served their country was covered with wood..Literally covered....I thought, here we go again...Another attack on our freedoms..I looked at Mike as we sipped our morning Joe and said ENOUGH....ENOUGH Already!!!!! What can we do? I feel so helpless and rapidly becoming hopeless...We have to take action...Mike said, "A CROSS"... Call it a Freedom Cross...I excitedly said, "Yes...Red, White and Blue..We discussed that, on Private property, we can display a symbol for our love of Freedom, Our Constitution, our flag, all who have served and are serving our country and that we do have a great number of Americans who are real, not imaginary..

This Cross does not stand for any religion. It is a Freedom Cross...It means to you what ever Freedom means to YOU...We hope it will catch on from Maine to California...As my friend, John said, "From sea to shining sea."

The sun rises in Maine and sets in California. Our hope is we make a visible statement for all to see.. In Maine we have a slogan, AS MAINE GOES, SO GOES THE COUNTRY!!! If we think we can, we can...Place this cross in our front yards as we did the Yellow Ribbons...Remember? I bet you do...

The next day again watching the news I saw folks with son's at war had been told to take down their flag.Yet another day later a firefighter to take his flag sticker off his locker..NO, NO, NO...ENOUGH!!!!!

We have the sample cross ready. Pete Harring, my friend from Paint Maine RED, has finished the sample. It will be unveiled and promoted at our Tea Party on Nov. 7th..From there we will plaster our state with this symbol...and hopefully every patriotic American will join in this effort...Not to be ignored, to be dignified for our love of country..and FREEDOM...The sample CROSS will be discussed here after Nov. 7th... Would love to have you all join in.. thx for your time, I just cannot sit idol and watch my country go in this direction without a fight for our children and grandchildrens future...God Bless America....
